Among younger romance seekers the number of dating service devotees has almost tripled since 2013, Pew reports. Roughly 27 percent of Americans aged 18 to 24 currently claim to use online dating. Only 10 percent said they did so in 2013.

Among the Biola students using an online dating website or mobile app, 42 percent stated that they use Tinder. The mobile app is free to use and makes meeting potential significant others casual and easy.
